No, I am not paranoid! People are talking about our store all over town. We have people tell us they have heard good things about our store. We have been in businesses around town and heard people talking about us. People are reading our fliers. Even though our families were skeptical about Midnight Madness, it turned out to be a very profitable and enjoyable experience.
We have vendors that do personalization of names (both human and child). Their prices reflect the cost of special ordering. Rebel Roxie Rose makes items to sell at the store. We will do special orders, but sometimes we cannot make the special orders for the same price as the ones in the store due to material costs. But we will do special orders and only add the amount it costs us in additional materials for the products. So be sure to come in and see our merchandise. Not only do you get handcrafted items that are unique, but you also receive quality and the best price we can afford to charge for our products. But you have to come to the store to see what we have right now. If we are successful in the store, we will be setting up an online store carrying the Rebel Roxie Rose line. But right now we are a physical store you should visit.
Eudora is growing and there are 3 new stores that opened up around the same time this last month. Of course, one of them was us, another was a store with fine gifts called The Filling Station, and the best sweet tooth satisfier ever, Penny Annie's Sweet Shoppe. We are one short block off of Main Street and the other 2 are downtown Eudora. Penny Annie's is owned and operated by a family who lives right here in Eudora. They moved their store, which was a long time tradition, from Lawrence to Eudora. Everyone was sad to see them leave Lawrence, but we are so happy to have them here. It is a short drive from Lawrence to Eudora. Come in on "old 10" which is county road 442 and cross the bridge to Eudora. Rebel Roxie Rose will be your first stop on the right hand side at 10th and Maple. Next downtown to visit the new gift shop, the quilt store, the antique shop, and Penny Annie's Sweet Shoppe. Then for a good cup of coffee, go by Java To Go which is set up on Church Street in the C&S Market parking lot. Don't forget, for your pharmacy needs, you can drive over the K-10 bridge to Byrne's Pharmacy. They are open until 7:00 p.m. now. Still run by your hometown pharmacists. If you are patrons of Pendleton's, situated west of Eudora, make the jog to Eudora to visit us.
We all need your support. Without customers, we won't be able to keep our doors open. Let's keep our little town lively. Eudora will give you the personal touch you won't get in bigger towns. We were off yesterday, but spent the day putting more fixtures into the store and arranging the merchandise to make it easier to shop. There was laundry to do at home, meals to cook, and houses to clean, but we didn't get much of that done. Instead we were pulling out fixtures and setting up the store. Also, we bought a new dress form. We have named her Patty. She is stylish in her own right. Tall, with an ivory stand, flashy little crystal knob at the top of her body which is covered in rose pink tapestry fabric. Patty is now standing in the window modeling some of the clothing from Roxie's Closet. Roxie has added a jumper to her line and has all her hats displayed. Come in and see what Roxie has to offer in clothing and accessories.

Several people shopped with us when we were open in Olathe during the holiday season 2 years ago. Many of them were hoping we would start another store and here we are open in Eudora.
Rebel Roxie Rose is tucked away in the corner building at 10th and Maple. We are right next to the new optometrist in town, Dr. Barnhart. If you are looking for us, don't give up, we are there and will be open this week including this Sunday afternoon from 12:00 - 5:00 p.m.
There are new affordable Christmas ornaments being made today. We have traditional, team spirit (some familiar birds can hang on your tree), and even some kinda naughty ones to choose from on our trees. Remember they are all handmade. A true collectible to keep year after year.
I am always looking for a tree topper for my Christmas tree and this year I found one. Roxie has been busy making "angels" for Christmas trees. They are not your traditional angels, but oh so cute. Here are some pictures:

Eudora is conveniently located between Kansas City and Topeka, so come on over! Eudora is growing. We have new stores that have opened recently. One you might know is Penny Annie’s Sweet Shop. They are taking popcorn orders now and will soon be ready to open their store. Eudora downtown includes a fine gifts store, antique store, the quilt shop, Penny Annie’s, a breakfast-lunch café, a restaurant serving both Chinese and Mexican food and more. There a several places to eat in Eudora. We have a great drive-thru coffee place, Java To Go, out by K-10 highway. Be sure to come and visit Rebel Roxie Rose and see how our little town has grown!

Getting Ready for the Holidays
Roxie and Rose were up late last night working in the shop. There were lots of things to do. Yesterday, Roxie worked on the Christmas tree for the auction here in Eudora that will go to help fund the Mayor's Christmas Tree. A program that helps the less fortunate in our town during the holiday season. Our tree is made with a western theme. From the cowgirl angel on top, down to the hearts, stars, and bells scattered throughout the tree. It is decorated in denim and plaids with handcrafted ornaments on it. The garland was made by hand, too.
We have a "new" old vanity in our shop and have refinished the top of with with a decoupage design. The window display is growing, with the addition of our 40+ year old tree we love to use. It is decorated with handcrafted ornaments and has a western angel on top. Decorations on this tree are priced to sell. Get in early to get a chance to buy these one of a kind ornaments.

Hours of Operations And More
Rebel Roxie Rose is officially up and open. We are improving daily, but we have a huge variety of merchandise and new items coming in all of the time. This week we will begin decorating for Christmas. WE KNOW! It seems so early, but everybody else does it . . . and no we wouldn't jump off of a bridge if everybody else did! Well, at least I don't think we would.
Now to the first order of business. Our hours of operation will be set up to be a little longer for the holiday season. We plan on the following:

EEEEEEEEEEEK! We have been working like crazy getting the store ready. Does anyone plan on coming to our grand opening? Will we be super busy or will no one show up? So many questions and no answers.

And We're Off and Running
We have the keys to the shop!!! Will paint the wall this week. Our vendors will start dropping off inventory this weekend. In the meantime we need to start installing fixtures and getting everything ready. Working on a sign for the front of the building. Look for a list of vendors here on the blog in a few days. We have added some more recently. There will be vendors that make metal art, 18"doll clothes and accessories, home decor, silk flower arrangements, furniture pieces, personalized items, aprons, tea towels, bath towels, soaps, candles, bath products, poems, jewelry, holiday items, burp clothes, bibs, baby blankets, tutus, purses and bags, and gift items for little and big kids alike. We have so many wonderful artisans joining us. You will have to come by and see for yourself! November 9 and 10th is the big Grand Opening!
Halloween and Fun Was Had By All
Rebel Roxie Rose celebrated big this Halloween. The two little rebels went trick or treating all over including downtown Eudora. Roxie and Rose set up a trick or treat station down at the store. We had some company and assistance from one of our family members. Several ghouls and goblins, witches and super heroes came to get a bag of goodies. Hope everyone reading this had a happy and safe Halloween.
It was a long and exciting October. Now it is time to wish October a fond farewell. Here's to all our friends until we get to dress up again next year.
