Rebel Roxie Rose has been in this storefront for a little over a year. We built a good following and appreciated all of our business from our customers during this time. The transition from the storefront to our studio seems to be going amazingly well.. None of our regulars seemed upset and are anxious to see us open the studio where they can call us and make arrangements to come over. Also, the fact that we will continue to post new products on Facebook and our new website www.rebelroxierose.com is a plus.
So many people that are on our facebook are now out of town and would like to be able to order from us. Even though we missed the December 10 opening date for our site, it won't be long now. We have set up our sections and are gathering objects to post. As soon as our shopping cart is in place we will be good to go. If you go to the website, you will see some blogging explaining what we are doing.
Last night at the store was really strange. The Wednesday night before was so busy we couldn't sit down. Only a hand full came by last night. We are down to the nitty gritty. With products going on line, we are trying to sell much of our the inventory at the store at deep discounts. We are pulling out all the merchandise we have had stored away and putting it out. We have decided to be on call only on Friday. Saturday we will open bright and early and have specials all day. It will be quite a "LAST DAY" before the move sale. Send in your friends, come in yourself and see what we have both old and new.
Don't miss out on these sales. We are ready to get started on our next phase and you can take advantage of our great slashed prices. REMEMBER, Saturday, December 15, 10:30 - ?. We'll stay as long as you are coming by to buy!
Can you find the little extras I added to this background graphic I built using vintage ads and my own filler? Hint--there are 5.
Answers: Black & white ad at top "Shop -- Rebel Roxie Rose". In the Keep her where she belongs ad "Shopping here at Rebel Roxie Rose". Happy woman with fridge full of food "Why does this woman look so happy? Doesn't she realize she has to cook all that food and serve it". Next to her the pink and white filler "Never underestimate the power of a woman". And finally Shhh! ad with scaredy cats hiding by bush, "And is it any wonder? Look at those two!".
Until next blog . . .
New Products Made Constantly at Rebel Roxie Rose!
We may be moving from our storefront, but we are going into overdrive making new products to go onto our website that will be www.rebelroxierose.com. The next two weeks, we will offer many of the newest items in the store at a low introductory price to our customers to give them first chance to purchase some of our newest merchandise. The earring stock is being replenished. We will offer many new styles (both fashion and Christmas) in the store for $2 & $3 a pair. When they go online, they will be higher. This is an introductory price for our customers coming into the store for the next 2 weeks.
These 3 pictures will show you what is coming soon for $2 a pair. Wonderful gifts or something for yourself. These are designed and hand made by Rebel Roxie Rose. Sorry, but at $2 a pair we cannot supply gift boxes as we usually do in the store. Small jewelry gift boxes will be available for purchase for an additional charge.
Now, take a look at these for $3 in store only. Oh la la, these are something wonderful! Don't miss getting a pair of these beautiful earrings for this low, low price.
AND here is a necklace and earring set priced at $6 in store.
On to other items we made this last few days.
New candle holders fit 3x3 pillar candles. With Scented Flame candle purchase $2 each. Purchased alone $3.50. |
One of a kind winter bouquet $12.50 |
one of a kind holiday "bling" vase. $5.50 |
FYI, I am getting ready to say something that may be offensive to some, if so skip the next line.
We cannot shit new products.
When we sit down to make items (i.e. bibs, headbands, polymer beads, etc) we have to drag out the equipment and make batches of them. When we say we have this many and you need to buy them while we have them, we mean it. Often times, we don't have the spare time to stop and make one of something. That is why our products get made in groups. That is how we keep our prices as low as we do.
If we say we only have one. We only have one. Either we can't get the object or materials to make more, or the price to get another would be prohibitive. Some of the things we make are made of materials we have a limited amount of or it was made from something we purchased at a great price. We do this to give the customer good prices and unusual products. We cannot always duplicate things. So even though we want to keep everyone pleased with the choices we have, the nature of what we do leads to one of a kind or at least just a few of similar products.
Hope I didn't offend anyone's sensibilities. The message is--see something you want or want to give as a gift? Get it! It may be gone and no more can be made during the season or possibly ever.
Thanks for checking out our blog and watch for our online store in the near future www.rebelroxierose.com.
Until next blog . . .
Adios, Auf Wiedersehen, Au Revoir, We're Outta Here--at Least Out of Our Storefront
After one year and one month, Rebel Roxie Rose is leaving the store front at 101 W. 10th, Suite B, Eudora, KS. December 15 will be our last day open in the store. HOWEVER, we will not be going out of business. We are simply changing what we are doing to better target our specific audience. Here at Rebel Roxie Rose, we realize that our handmade items are an acquired taste. Not everyone digs our vibe! But that's OK. For the ones that do--we are going to continue to make our unique and unusual products (some would call them weird, but we prefer not to use that term).
Look for Rebel Roxie Rose online at www.rebelroxierose.com. We are excited about our new site that should be up and running by December 10, complete with a shopping cart. We decided to pull on our big girl panties and try to run with the big dogs with an online store. Many of our regular customers watch Facebook, Instagram, and this blog to see our newest products. We will continue to keep our Facebook page current and interesting and this blog will continue, but in a different vein. Rather then just copying a bunch of stuff off of Facebook, the online store will give me an opportunity to update you on what is going on and the trials and tribulations of running an online store, opening up a studio for appointments, and running the craft show circuit.
Yes, we are opening up a studio. It sounds chic doesn't it? Studio. Well, we prefer to call if our ghettio. It is in the garage of one of our homes. We have the whole famn damily helping us convert the garage into a presentable space where we can work, keep our online stock and have a showroom where we can have events and be open by appointment for our customers. Sounds daunting doesn't it? Well, it is! Since it is in a garage we feel it is a little ghetto, but it is our studio. Hence it is now our "ghettio". Get it?
Quickly, I want to thank everyone who has shopped in our store this last year. And a special thanks to all of our regular customers who have continued to come in and see what we had to offer and purchased items from us. Most of these people have become more then customers, we feel we have made many new friends. Some we knew before, some we recognized from passing in the school, bank, store, etc. and some were new faces. To all of you, thank you for your support and kindness. Please keep in touch.
Another thank you needs to go to our landlord, Stan Byrne. He has been wonderful. The store is a great space. He keeps it in good repair. He has been supportive and gave us encouragement when we felt like we couldn't make it another month. Stan has been more then a landlord, he has been or friend and has given us good advice (even when we didn't listen and should have). Thank you, Stan, we owe you ALOT.
If anyone is looking for a great small space, think about this one. The utilities are low and the building is clean and has plenty of natural light. It is a wonderful store. 750 sq. ft. of very usable space.
So, to recap. Closing December 15--last day in the store. Moving to ghettio. Will try to have it ready by January 15. Starting online store by December 10. Will continue to make our weird and wonderful stuff. Furniture will still be available and will be online.
Thanks for the last year of purchases, support and some great conversations. Rebel Roxie Rose will rock on, just in a different place, in a little bit different way. Until next blog . . . .
