What will it take to get more people to like us on Facebook?

I have been looking at other sites.  Some bigger businesses have hundreds, even thousands of likes on facebook.  Many of the smaller businesses, like ours or smaller, have over two or three hundred likes.  Here we are just trying to reach 100.  Some of the problem is, I can't even get my own friends and family to hit the like button on Rebel Roxie Rose.  They do follow my personal page, but not the business page.  If you are reading this and have not liked us at Rebel Roxie Rose, please do so now.

Anyone know what we are doing wrong?  The store is adorable and affordable.  But first we must have customers come in and at least look around to be able to spread the word.  We mainly depend on word of mouth for advertisement.  If your mouths aren't talking (or your fingers walking) we don't get the news out about our store.

What do we carry in our little store?
Items locally handcrafted;
Home decor,
A little bit of vintage,
Gifts and a whole lot more.

See?  I even wrote a little ditty to get you interested.  Pass this on to your friends and family.  Don't think they will come to our store?  Think it is too long a drive?  Not so.  We had people coming from Topeka to Olathe just to shop at Roxie 2 years ago and gasoline was high then too.  Eudora is on the way from Johnson County to Lawrence and Topeka.  There are many people that drive that trek often.  Not only is Roxie in Eudora, we now have Penny Annie's Sweet Shoppe downtown (were in Lawrence for 23 years) and many people drive for miles to go to Penny Annie's.  We also have the Bits and Pieces Quilt Shop downtown Eudora.  Another destination store.  Do you have any idea how many miles people will drive to come to Bits and Pieces?  Plus there in the Past and Presents Antique Store, The Filling Station Gift Shop, Jasmine's Restaurant (a place that serves both great chinese and mexican food), Anthony's Diner and The Black Cat Cafe downtown besides the bank, an attorney, a savings and loan, a plumber, 2 tax accountants, 2 hair salons and more downtown Eudora.  We have a Casey's General Store at 10th and Church.  Then out by the highway there is Java to Go (a great place to get your morning coffee), Gambino's Pizza, Subway, Sonic, Dairy Queen, and Kwik Shop.  There are also 2 chiropractors, a dance studio, a laundry mat, grocery store and more out there.  If you go across the K-10 bridge South, we have Byrne's Pharmacy in the new Eudora medical center.  Across the way we have Cutter's Bar-B-Que (some of these people are related to Eudora's own Wolf Hamlin who just made it to the next level on  American Idol) and several other businesses.

So there are lots of reasons for people to come to Eudora.  We have grown in the last several years.  No longer are we the little quiet village of 1300 people.  We now have over 6000 residents and are growing.  Like us on facebook, follow us here, tell your friends about us and pass the word.  We want and need business.

Now I will get down off my soap box until next time.  Just please get out the word!!!!
